THE SOFTWARE
> What is EAPD?
EAPD stands from Easy Ad Poster Deluxe. This software is designed to making posting advertisements to classified listing sites as easy as possible. The company behind it, Troopal Strategies, is continually making updates to the software to allow it to keep up with the changes in Craigslist (section changes, form changes, rule changes, etc). There are also additional advanced features constantly being added. The professional members group gets access to these features first and most of those features eventually become available to the standard members group.
The software was first released in February, 2007, programmed and published by EzAd, LLC.
THE COMPANY
> Who is Troopal?
Troopal Strategies, Inc. is based in Panama City, Panama. Troopal was formed by a group of EAPD users and licensed the software rights after EasyAd, LLC. was sued by Craigslist and stopped updating EasyAd Poster. Troopal Strategies is in no way affiliated with EzAd, LLC., Mesiab Labs, or Craigslist. The support team resides all over the world with the headquarters located in beautiful Panama City, Panama. The laws of Panama protect Troopal from being sued under U.S. law by Craigslist. Additionally, Our poster does not agree to the Craigslist Terms of Use and opt all EAPD users out of agreeing to the Craigslist Terms of Use automatically.
> How old is Troopal?
Troopal was formed in March, 2009 to provide a long term business model for the EAPD software. The principals behind the company rely on its ability to create leads and sales for their respective businesses. This Craigslist software supplies the demand that drives their businesses and they will not allow it to be shut down again.
> How is Troopal protecting itself?
Although it wouldn’t be wise to go into detail, Troopal is protected legally and financially within the Republic of Panama. The core servers are housed within a former military, secure facility that is reinforced against natural disaster and other physical or human threats. The data is backed up in real time and stored in another location.
>Do you have a trial version?
Yes, You are able to go to the homepage and click on the “Try it for $3″ button. This will get you the full version of the software to try for 3 days. It will not rebill you. After 3 days it ends your subscription and you will need to sign up for the full version to continue using the software.
IDENTITY MANAGEMENT
- IP Addresses -
> What is an IP address?
An IP address is your address on the internet. Just like your street address it is a location. Craigslist restricts the number of posts from each IP address to one post per IP every 48 hours. This is not a hard rule. You can post more frequently than that from an IP, but eventually Craigslist will ban your account if you continue to overpost from that IP and account. To get around this you need to have multiple IP addresses.
>How to obtain multiple IP addresses:
One method of getting IP addresses is through either a dial up or dsl modem. Each time you disconnect and re-connect one of these types of modem you are given a new IP address. You can either post a few ads and then re-set your connection or post a few more on the same IP address. We recommend you post 1 ad per IP address. There are also several 3rd party software options available in our forum that can automate this process for you if you plan on setting up a more hands free system.
The second method is proxies. A proxy is like a post office box. You can have message sent there and forwarded to where you live. Same with a proxy IP address. Most people use them to post to Craigslist. With proxies you simply load them into your poster and that’s it – your poster will use them to sign into your Craigslist account and pick a new IP address for each posting. You can use each IP address 1-2 times per day on CL. Proxies can either be rented or bought through our Troopal verified vendors on the forum.
Both have their pros and cons. Proxies are quicker and easier but are more costly and almost always require PVA’s. Traditional IP’s are very inexpensive comparatively but do require 3rd party software to completely automate the process.
Can I purchase IP’s/Proxies/Accounts from you?
No, however we can recommend you to our verified vendors who have everything to get you up and running.
Does IPRental get around PVA’s?
Not currently; however, something in the future be implemented to alleviate this issue. IPRental is designed to allow you to post with a different IP address each time. It is not designed to avoid the use of PVAs.
> Does EAPD support proxies?
Yes. EAPD allows you to enter your proxies in a list and will automatically cycle through them for each ad you post. We do not provide proxies for sale. However, Tex (a verified vendor within our members only forums area) sells reasonably priced, high quality proxies.
- Accounts -
EAPD posts using emails, regular Craigslist accounts and phone verified Craigslist accounts (”PVAs”). Any IP address that has had a significant number of posts uploaded to Craigslist will require a phone verified account. Eventually, everyone posting to Craigslist will use a phone verified account. You can buy PVA’s through our Troopal verified vendors on the forum or by visiting www.getpva.com.
>What email addreses should I use?
Craigslist currently supports .com, .org, .net and .biz email addresses; however, it does not support .info. Craigslist also usually does not allow links to a .info domains. For posting purposes, we recommend yahoo, gmail, and hotmail email addresses.
> Account Rotation
As EAPD posts each ad, it rotates through the accounts you have loaded in the account manager, automatically. All you need to do is load the accounts you want that campaign to use when you are creating the campaign. When you want to post, use the bulk account manager to login to all the accounts at once. Then, click “post all campaigns” and EAPD will automatically cycle through your accounts you have assigned to each campaign.
CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT
> Is there a limit to the numbers of ads I can post?
No. There is no limit in EAPD to the number of ads you can post. However, Craigslist is likely to shut down any Craigslist account that posts too frequently. This is why Troopal recommends that you attempt to follow the Craigslist terms of use by posting only once per account per IP address every 48 hours. For example, if you want to post 100 ads per day, you would need to have 200 accounts and 200 ip address to post from. You would post from the first 100 accounts and IPs the first day, and you would post a second set of 100 unique ads the second day.
> How do I enter my ads into EAPD?
You enter them the same way you would on Craigslist – by typing them into a text box. However, you only have to enter them once. EAPD stores the ad in the campaign manager and the next time you want to post the ad, you just select the ad and click “post selected campaign.” Please see the training videos related to campaign creation.
> Won’t my ads get flagged by Craigslist if I post the same one repeatedly?
Yes. That is why EAPD provides tools to help you rotate your ads and modify your ads to make them unique while conveying the same meaning each time. EAPD allows you to inject random words into the ad, using a “Token” variable system to rotate words or phrases and uses other secret techniques we can’t publish here to help you get each ad live on Craigslist for as long as possible.
>What are tokens?
Tokens are random phrases and words used to keep your ad unique therefore less likely to be ghosted or flagged. You are able to use these in the title or body of your ad copy. For example: Title ” Puppies For Sale” could use tokens such as “Take Your Pick of the Litter”, ” 2 month old labs for sale”, etc…. The more tokens you use the better off you will be.
> Can I post to multiple cities?
Yes. A campaign is a series of ads that are posted to a series of cities. Each post is based on the ad you created in the EAPD HTML Editor.
GETTING STARTED
> How do I pay?
We currently accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover through ECSuite & TS Payment Solutions, Ltd. You may signup and pay with your credit card here You can also pay through Western Union money order (the only payment method we accept from international customers).
Here’s how to pay with Western Union:
1. What: Send $348 + $80 for however many months you want to prepay for (6 month minimum). We only allow professional support memberships for those paying with WU because of the extra time it takes to send someone to Western Union for each payment. Example 6 prepaid months is $480. $348 + $480 = $828
2. Send to:
First name: Luis
Last name: Troopal
Location: Austin, Texas, USA
Select the “NO ID” option, with a question and answer like “question: barbie” “answer: doll”
** MAKE SURE YOU CONFIRM THE WU CLERK HAS SELECTED THE NO ID OPTION **
3. Email us at sales@troopal.com with your name, your city & country, the total amount of the payment, the western union control number and the question & answer you chose. We will pick up the payment within 48 hours, then set up your Troopal account and software registration.
Because Craigslist is constantly changing, we must pay a full time staff to keep up with it. As Craigslist gets trickier to deal with, you’ll have more questions and that means we need to provide you with answers…and that means hiring customer support people. All that costs money on an ongoing basis. So, your monthly subscription pays for people to support the user base and programmers to keep the software working.
> What do I need to get started?
You need a computer with at least 5 MB of free space, running Microsoft XP or Vista. Download EAPD by clicking on the download button, at the top of the page. Once you download the software, it will automatically keep itself updated by checking for an update each time you post and each time you start the program. EAPD will not work unless you (1) purchased the software & (2) maintain your monthly support subscription. You can purchase the software and subscription by clicking the “Sign Up” or “Buy Now” links on the home page.
> How do I get started quickly?
You can get started quickly by learning as much as you can about the program right now. The way to do this is to sign up, read the Getting Started Guide in the Beginners section of the Troopal forums and by watching the Troopal Training Videos a few times. You can watch those videos without paying by clicking on the “Training Videos” link in the menu at the top of the page.
> How long will it take me to get started with EAPD?
You can be posting to Craigslist within minutes of downloading the software if you understand how to use the software and already have your ads created and all of your resources ready (ie, IP’s Accounts). So, your best bet is to create your ads now and learn how to use the software by viewing the training videos and reading the private forums. If you are a Pro Member and you need help installing your software or getting up and running you can also call the support line at 866-981-8779 X2.
